Chelsea Smith

Chelsea Smith is the COO and co-founder of HUUB. She brings a passion for mission-driven work and a commitment to empowering small businesses. A former small business owner, Chelsea launched a Pilates studio in Phoenix, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges of running a business. She then shifted into community advocacy, leading the grassroots nonprofit Urban Phoenix Project, where she collaborated with residents, policymakers, and city departments.

In early 2020, Chelsea and Jenny Poon created HUUB, a small business support platform that helps economic development organizations deploy resources and measure the success of their programs. Her work has been instrumental in shaping HUUB’s platform. Drawing on her entrepreneurial background, she leads product development to ensure HUUB delivers the tools and insights that matter most to small business owners and the organizations supporting them. She focuses on two key areas: data solutions and user experience. Through that lens, she delivers powerful capabilities for her clients to easily connect with their small business community.
