Jessica Pasion

Jessica Pasion, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, moved to Burlington, North Carolina with her family in 1994 and has lived in Alamance County for nearly 24 years. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art, with a concentration in digital media, and a Master of Business Administration, both from Elon University. She is currently a candidate for a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership at High Point University (anticipated graduation in December 2024).

Before joining CivStart, Jessica spent nearly 15 years in higher education administration at Elon University, UNC-Chapel Hill, and UNC-Greensboro. Jessica shifted her focus to downtown revitalization, historic preservation, and economic and community development in 2017 when she joined the Burlington Downtown Corporation to serve as the Executive Director.

Recent professional affiliations include membership in the NC Downtown Development Association, International Downtown Association, and the Project Management Institute. Additionally, Jessica received her Main Street America Revitalization Professional Certification through the Main Street America Institute.
