Leigh Fields

Leigh Fields currently serves as the Chief of Network Operations for Anne Arundel County, Maryland. She brings over 25 years of leadership experience within county government in areas such as IT and telecommunications infrastructure, contract management, and financial oversight.

Her key skills encompass leadership, project management, process improvement, communications, strategic planning, partnerships, quality assurance, cost containment, budgeting, staff development, and customer-focused operations management.

In her present role, Leigh leads teams responsible for network connectivity across more than 200 buildings, connected by a 400-mile county-owned fiber network. She has also cultivated partnerships to enhance connectivity and redundancy, and actively sought opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation. Prior to this, Leigh held leadership positions at Frederick County Government and Frederick Health in Maryland.

Leigh earned her Master of Administrative Science from Johns Hopkins University and Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland.
