Nia Richardson

Ms. Nia Richardson is the Managing Director for the office of small business for the City of Kansas City, Missouri -KC BizCare Office. The only small business government support office of its kind in the nation that supports local entrepreneurs with understanding the regulatory process for obtaining a business license along with other resources to help start, grow, and expand a business in Kansas City. Ms. Richardson is currently leading advocacy initiatives for capital readiness, access to starting capital, and has recently received approval for the start of a citywide Small Business Task Force/Commission to create a regional comprehensive plan for creating a stronger and more inclusive small business ecosystem in Kansas City. Her work is vital to the City’s goal of becoming the most entrepreneurial city in America”, and she recently kicked off an initiative called the “City of Entrepreneurs” to build a more robust and inclusive small business eco-system in Kansas City to help our city meet and exceed that goal.
