Peter Koht

Peter Koht is nerdy about how cities function. Formerly an economic development officer for the City of Santa Cruz, he was the cofounder and COO of OpenCounter. His professional life has been focused on leveraging technology to enable efficient transactions and equal access to regulations and resources for the public. OpenCounter scaled from a Code for America project in 2012 to an IPO with GTY Technology in 2019. In addition to permitting and licensing, Peter's areas of civic interest include broadband access, parking and retail management and organizational culture.
